Could the IAC valve be gummed up even if the throttle body looks clean like mine did? >>Yes, it is susceptable to a lot of dirty air<< Where is this oil coming from --- is it from the oil vapors in the crankcase that get ventilated to the turbo input (via the hose from the valve cover to the air intake duct)? >>Yes, that is where the contamination comes from and also some gets cycled through from the one way valve at idle (vacuum)<<The throttle body can look sparkling clean but the IAC will be dirty due to the mass flow difference. The TB has a high volume of air passage compared to the IAC which functions at a point of max vacuum and max extraction of crankcase fumes ie dirty air.
