An Update. I followed the owner manuals directions on how to clear the CODE condition. I couple times I had to leave the power on for an hour to allow the unit to be reset with the band button. Last night after letting it beep for an hour I reset it again with the band button and started entering the correct code again. A couple of times the unit would power up but go back to CODE again. I pulled it out of the dash, banged on it a few times and shoved it back in again. I did this a few times thinking maybe there is some type of relay or just the connector in the back that was causing the problem. Finally, it just powered on and is working fine again. Its powered on with the code condition a few times since I've owned the car but its never given me this type of problem. Next time I probably won't be this lucky.
