What your doing is waiting for the syncros to speed up or slow down so that the gear speeds match, and you dont grind em. Its an ongoing rant with these cars, unfortunately. One post I read awhile back said the solution is not to treat the car like the "sports sedan" that it is, rather think of it as an old English sports car when shifting. Thats about right, youll get no where grinding the gears ,believe me ,I still get frustrated when I have the potential ability to hit 60mph in 6.5 seconds, and cant because of slow syncros. Its very annoying, but what can we do? Even the 1500 $ rebuild is no guarantee of perfect shifting so I hear. P.S...I have a 15 yr old Honda Civic with 140,000 on it ...and I can run thru the gears like greased lightning.
