couple of things to consider. Posted by bryan [Email] (#542) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bryan) on Wed, 15 Aug 2001 21:36:10 In Reply to: 9000CD/BMW535i, Ingrid, Tue, 14 Aug 2001 21:24:47 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
first, 3500 dollars doesn't get as much as it might sound like on a BMW, and spread over the time frame she's owned it, doesn't sound like much beyond maintenance and the occasional fix was done. Look at the receipts for signs of any major fixes, and if you do go ahead with the purchase, have it inspected first by a good indy BMW shop. Next to saabs, bmw's are probably what i've worked on the most, and the parts and service are crazy. Also, it's a 4 (coming up on 17 years) year older car, and, although sportier to drive, you're right, it's not as sophisticated or as safe as your CD.
Another consideration, and I've learned this the hard way...never buy or sell a car to/from a friend. your mileage may vary :)
