I own a 1995 Saab Aero with 120,000 miles on it. (The only way I could afford a 9000 Aero was to go with one with high miles.) Anyway, I was wondering if someone could give me a tips on the following problems I've been having with it:
Prob #1: The rear doors will not disengage the child proof locks. When someone sits in the rear seats you have to let them out of the car from the outside. This can be inconvieninet as well as a safety hazard. I've tried manipulating the switch on the inside of the door, but to no avail. Is there another way of turnig this option off?

Problem #2: Due to the high miles of the car, the leather shifter knob is showing a lot of wear. How do you remove this knob?

Problem #3: The central locking system works well with the exception of the front passenger door (the three other doors work). When the doors are locked or unlocked the passenger door does not respond. I blew the central locking fuse a while back and before I replaced the fuse I had to force the passenger door to lock, could this have thrown it off of a track or burned out the motor? I now have to unlock the passenger door with the key. The lock gives no resistence.

Any advice given is MUCH appriciated!
