Find the little window that you use to view the timing marks on the flywheel .On either side of the window are bolts that hold the bell housing to the engine. Leave one bolt in place while you remove all the others around the circumference of the bell housing (6 I think , but one is a nut on a stud) . The transmission will slide out much easier if you make 2 six inch studs with one end threaded 12mm X 1.75mm and put them into two of the removed bolt holes (one on each side) then remove the final bolt and just slide out the transmission before l;owering it to the floor. These "threaded dowel bolts " can be purchased from Saab Part#8392128 .Ijust purchased 2 six inch long bolts threaded 12mm X 1.75mm and hacksawed off the hex heads then cut a slot for a screwdriver in the end .It also helps when re-installing the tranny .
Good luck.
