Don't know which year/model you have, but on my '96 Aero (with the O2 sensor on the elbow coming out of the turbo) I found it was bolted to the water pump. I undid just that one bolt on the pump and didn't suffer any coolant loss. Beyond that, it is held with two metal clips to a pipe running to the back of the engine (careful taking the clips off as they are easily dropped into the engine bay in the process), then threaded under the alternator and down to the connector, which is one of those with the coloured plastic locking clip. I needed a small screwdriver to get into the slot on the side of the clip and twist to free it.
