There are more Aero's with automatilc gear boxes than 5 speeds. Why? Because that's what the marketing department decided would sell better.

I ran into the same problem when I started looking for a '98 CSE, 5 speed, which had the Aero engine. Not many '98's were brought in and most were auto's with the non Aero engine.

I looked for a year with no luck, before finally posting an ad for what I wanted. It worked. I had to fly half way across the country to get my car, but at least I scored. You might have the same luck.

Not trying to talk you out of the Aero, but you might also be happy with a '98 CSE, 5 speed, if you can find one. The lease cars are starting to come on the market, so you might find one of those.
