First off no, no wiring problems. Just look at the fuse for that circuit, it's rated much higher than 50w will draw. Also, you'ore only going to be in reverse for what, 30 seconds max? It's not as if these lights will be on full time. I believe it's 16 gauge wire, maybe 18 gauge, which is more than adequate for the meager 4.2 amps max that will be drawn by one 50w bulb.
You used to be able to find these things in all the local auto parts stores, but no longer... I found the place below to have really friendly folk and fast shipping, along with great bulb prices. If you want to go really crazy, you can even get a 50w backup bulb with a beeper built in!
