So you are running the pump outside of the fuel tank by sucking up the cleaner. Sounds almost like you are putting the cleaner in the fuel rail but better because it goes all the way from the pump. Cleaning as it goes. Can you find out what type of cleaner he used? Becauase like (94 9000 CSE T) mentions, those in the tank cleaners are clear that you should be running a certain amount of fuel for each bottle of cleaner.
