Last week my 90 9KT 2.0 turbo quit running. It was fine for a short run and then nothing... 'wouldn't even pull itself out of the driveway, and stalls constantly, no amount of throttle will keep it going, and it seems to me that it warms up too fast, almost to over heating too soon. Any Ideas? With 187K on it I suspected the DI cassette and I purchased one. Now I have a spare, because it didn't solve the problem. New Plugs.. no better. Everything I can poke at seems to be OK. There is fuel at the injectors (Pressure too). I checked ALL connections and cleaned and reattached all the grounds. The Air mass meter does it's burn off thing right on schedule after shutdown. All I have left is new fuel filters and an O2 sensor but I've never heard of a bad O2 sensor on a 9K (or any other Saab I ever had, this is the 7th). I am stubborn and am reluctanrt to have it towed 10 miles to the Saab Garage, But If I keep piling on the parts I am wasting $$ too.
Frankly I am stumped.. like never before.
I'm getting alot of pressure from family and friends to bail out a get a new(er) car, but this 9000 is still better than many new 2002 models of other makes. (when it's running I prefer it to our 2001 Subaru).
Has anyone else had this set of symptoms? And what did it take to fix it?
