Here's a few givens.
The last few years of the 9000 are pretty nice cars - they lack for nothing. 33K (miles) is pretty low milage. As to the price - that would be a decent price where I live in the US (Connecticut), but I have no clue as to the market in AUS - I'm under the impression that cars cost more there than in the US.
From about 95 up there aren't many changes of note in the 9000. A full-up CSE is a full-up CSE. Lots of goodies. Of course you want to check the service records. When was the last time the coolant was flushed? Thermostat replaced? Brake fluid flushed? It's only 4 years old, so I wouldn't expect to see any of the age-related items going - like a leaky heater core. Just make sure everything works.
The real question is auto/manual. There are a few issues here. There are two downsides to the auto - first, the auto car has lower horsepower than the manual - 225 vs 200 (auto). That reduction is there to improve the life of the autotranny. Which is point two - the autobox isn't as robust as the manual. I would expect to pay more for maintenance and repair of the autobox than a manual.
My recommendation on a Saab is that if you prefer a manual tranny, wait for one. You'll get a car with more power, that uses less gas, is more reliable, and is (in my opinion), more fun to drive. However, if you want or need an automatic, don't be afraid to get one.
