The sunroof glass is attached via 3 slotted tabs to the moving plastic rails--1 torx on the front tab and 2 torx on the 2 rear tabs (each side).
1. Slide sunroof open 3-5 inches and remove 5 Phillips screws that hold the plastic gutter to the bottom of the glass panel at the front.
2. Close roof and actuate tilt. Now pull down and push back on the now loose gutter to expose the front two torx screws holding the glass.
3. Before removing the front two torx screws pay attention to their location in the slotted tab as this determines the sunroof alignment. I thought that I could rely on the lockwasher impression on the tab upon reinstallation, but found the roof was too low by about ¼-inch. It took me two tries in the end to get it right by trial and error.
4. On the back of the glass, the dimension from the bottom of the glass panel to the sliding/tilting rail could be measured from outside the car or some metal shim stock made up for this approx ¼-inch gap for more accurate alignment when reassembling (I did not do this). Remove the back four torx screws from inside the car after marking their location for reinstallation. Lift out glass panel.
5. Push sunroof button to close tilt actuator, and push again to move the rails back a few inches to expose all the screws on the cable covers. The first 5 Phillips screws are accessible on each side with roof in the closed position, but the 6th (rearmost) screw is covered by the tilt bracket, for which you need to slide the roof rearward to expose. The last two screws also attach a bracket which can be moved aside.
6. I would not recommend removing the cable covers as there is a thin rubber gasket underneath that is easily torn and the cable channel is packed with grease that could get messy. You only need to lift the back edge of the cover slightly in order to move the cable to the side to let the sunroof shade bracket release from the channel.
7. Slide shade forward until it hits the cable ferrule, move the cable to the side, and lift plastic shade bracket out of the channel.
8. With the shade out, I peeled the fabric back until it was even at the finger hold. The front part on mine was still well attached. I sprayed both the fabric and the fiberglass with 3M spray adhesive in two directions and relayed the fabric on the panel.
Two caveats: Cover or mask everything you don't want STICKIED (including the garage floor) as the adhesive overspray goes everywhere. You only get one chance to place the fabric into position, it does not move at all once stuck. Four hands would be better at this point, since the fabric is quite strechy and hard to position properly. A dry run with placing the fabric before applying adhesive I think would be valuable.
9. As I mentioned earlier, even though I used the location of the lock washer marks to set the height of the sunroof when I put it back together, I found I had to raise it slightly to be flush--not difficult, just time consuming. I think the roof would have been fine with the first postion-it operated fine-but I wanted to get it perfect(perhaps a SAAB owner affliction)?
