with 103k on it. The symptom was chain noise. When I got it open, I found
that there was quite a bit of sludge in many "dead zones" of fluid flow.
It seemed that the balance chain tensioner was stuck, so the chain was rattling. Condition: small sprocket on crank showed obvious wear on the
sides and "V"'s. The Balance shaft and idler sprockets were not so bad. This makes sense, as the one bottom sprocket is driving 3 above. All of
the guides were grooved, so I replaced them as well as the tensioner.
Cranked her up this evening - big smile going on, she runs. Lifters sound a bit noisy, but I am not sure what I should expect, I will compare to a friends car in the next few days.
