Infinity Kappa Service

Quite a while ago, I bought a set of Infinity Kappa 6.5" triaxials for the rear speakers. A little while later, I blew one of the drivers. Darn. Stupid me, I bought them from an _un_ authorized dealer so no warranty. I called Infinity to ask whether I could have it serviced or replaced for a fee. The service rep said they would replace it anyway so I faxed in the receipt and didn't hear anything back.
I politely e-mailed them to see if they received the fax and explained the situation, making it clear that I didn't _expect_ them to replace the speakers and asked whether I should just buy a new pair. A week goes by and still nothing. Oh well, my fault anyway. So I'm on-line, just about to order a new pair from an authorized dealer and the infamous brown UPS truck shows up with a very _large_ package. It turns out to be a brand new set of 6x9 triaxials! Whee! I spent the night with the dremmel, cutting out the speaker mountings. Anyway, I'm really happy with Infinity. They totally didn't have to send me anything.
BTW, if anyone is considering 6 1/2" speakers for the rear, my suggestion is to go with the 6x9's. It's unbelievable how much better they are.
Skrunch.
