That's probably not the overboost fuel cut-off. When the fuel-cutoff kicks in, it feels like an anchor has been thrown out. It doesn't fit the description of 'slight stutter'.

I figure it could be three different problems.
First, check the spark plug gap. If the gap is too big, it's harder for the ignition system to make a spark jump. It's also harder for a spark to jump in high pressure conditions, like boost. A common cause of stutter at high boost is the plug gap is too big. Always check the gap against the decal in the engine compartment, and always check the gap with a gauge before inserting the plug.
A related problem could be a DI (Direct Ignition) cassette on its way out. It creates the spark. If it's getting weak, you will have ignition problems. It's not easy to diagnose, but it never hurts to do a visual inspection. Remove the DI cassette from the plugs and flip it over. Remove the 6 or so screws holding the plastic cover on. Flip it back over and look into the four translucent plastic tubes (coils). Each should be filled about 80% of the way with fluid - insulating oil. If one or more coils is leaking oil, the DI needs replacement. The DI may look visually fine and still be weak, but it's one way to check.
Lastly, it could be the Trionic system detecting knock at full boost, and cutting back boost slightly. If you aren't running premium fuel, try running a tank of the next range up in octane rating.
