handle TCS limp home mode, but it is the stalling in fast busy traffic that worries me. I'm going to tighten that cable increase the limp home idle.(I regularly induce limp home by disconnecting the TCS Bleeder Valve elctrical connection). This is a real important safety issue, because someone could be manuvering in fast traffic and have a complete stall out in the left or middle lane. I have a 1993 with 103,000 and it is possible that the cable stretches after that time and needs adjustment.

Until you came up with this solution, I have tried everything (all of which was good for the car anyway.)

Thanks again and if you get a chance tell us how much the pedal pot cost, where you got it, and how you diagnosed its failure.

It's slow going, but I think we have made a lot of progress with TCS on the BB since last year.

Your post adds a procedure that has never been discussed before as part of TCS preventive maintenance.
