On the 2 liter engine (B202), I had to remove the rear engine mount bracket to get at the Allen screw. That would explain the one hour of shop time. Roughly, the procedure was something like this:
1. Jack up the right side of the car and put it on jackstands.
2. Put a jack under the oil pan with a block of wood to distribute the load.
3. Remove the bracket bolts from the engine and from the hydraulic motor mount.
4. Pull out the bracket.
5. Remove the 4mm Allen screw.
6. Disconnect the bracket at the top of the dipstick tube.
7. Pull out the dipstick and replace the O-ring.
Reverse the procedure to put it back together.
