So I went to home depot today after work and picked up the perscribed vice grips for $20. The fit nearly perfectly so I though I was in the good. But noooooo. This thing is wedged in soo tightly that I'v broken off nearly 1/4 of the tabs from pushing so hard trying to turn it. I even used a large combination wrench as a lever between the jaws with the same results it hasen't moved 1mm. I sprayed this thing down with wd40 yesterday and today to try and loosen it but no luck. I'm at wit's end. It's almost if somebody, at one time or another, used some sort of adhesive installing it. It's the only thing I can think of because I've never seen plasic that wasn't bonded stuck togeather so hard.
The last thing I can think of is to break it apart and remove it piece by piece but the dang thing's made out of military grade plastic and is very difficult to break. I'm at wits end here. Any really smart or experienced guys out there?
TIA,
Jason
