There are three servo motors in the ACC system - one for setting the temperature (air mix flap), one for the recirculation flap, and one to set the air drum. The air drum directs air to the defroster, vent, etc.
First, run the self-test. Hit the AUTO and VENT buttons simultaneously while the car is running. The system will run through a self-test. When it's done, (about 40 seconds), it will display the number of fault codes. If the number is zero, there are no stored faults, and hit any key to get back to normal operation.
If the number is 1 or higher, press the VENT button to read the code(s), one at a time. When you've written them all down, hit AUTO to return to normal.
I'm going to guess you'll see a 6C and/or 6U. That indicates a problem with the drum servo. Now, it could be a bad servo, or the drum is binding. 6C means the drum isn't moving - that could be due to a bad servo, or that the mechanism is binding. 6U is an open circuit in the servo.
The servos are located behind the glove box, which is pretty easy to access. Go to the Townsend site (http://www.townsendimports.com), and find the Technical Documents, Climate Control section. There is a lot of info there. If it is a bad servo, you can buy a new one ($$), replace it with a used one (a good solution), or if you're handy with electronics, rebuild it (there are some posts on that if you search the archives).
