I had the famous base boost problem along with the cut out when the boost actually worked. It worked when the car was stone cold. Well, being of little mind and large wallet I set out to replacing components. I started with the cheapest parts first and worked my way up. First started with a consultation with my Indy. We found no codes and the waste gate appeared to be functioning. I started with the fuel presure regulator. (a friend years ago said it's always the fuel pressure regulator) Well that made what boost I got when cold steady. There was no more cut out under full boost. But, the problem remained when the car warmed up base boost and only base boost. Next the bank account financed the BPC valve. I kissed my $200 goodbye and installed the part. Made a huge difference, boost was back and it was 95% or so of what I expected it to be, but, it was not quite right. It was surging boost, it would go red and then back off and then go red again. Kind of like a roller coaster of boost. I looked at the DI casette and winced then ordered a new one. $269.00 from Saab Story. (prompt and reasonable service) I also got a new set of plugs even though I had replaced them 3K ago. Gap was set at .8 with the new cassette. Boost became 99% of what I had expected. So I did the trionic boost adaptation proceedure. ( I am still not sure I did it correctly) Things improved to the point that I have stopped my quest. It's not my old 88 944 Turbo S with a K27, but, it is not bad either. I had already replaced the vacuum hoses when this quest began. That's it, that's what I did and all is well now. Best of luck to those with this problem!
