I changed my blower this past summer because the part was less than $100 but the shop said a $500 job so I did it. I took out a lot of stuff before I got to the blower make sure you remember where the stuff goes back to especially the bolts and screws. Now here's the part where I hated whoever designed this unit. I have no idea how I got it out. I wiggled and shaked, pulled, pushed I did this for half a day after getting to the blower in just 30 minutes. My fingers and hands were sore. My arms and back did not feel to good because you had to this bending over so I decided to continue the next day. Now this when I was so livid with Saab hiring the idiot who designed this unit I was cursing because the damn thing would not go back in, so here I go again bending over going from side to side and infront of the car wiggling, pushing, pulling, shaking this F### thing until miraclously just slid right in. That took me half a day. Now my fingers were numb, scraped my arms and back were sore. I was sore for a week. I went through every emotions from I can do this, to giving up bring it to the shop, rage and finally victory when I put it all back and it worked. Come to think of it Saab should market this as a self-help program it really pushed me to the brink of quitting but I'm sure glad I did it.
