Hi,
I need help. Problem concerns my SAAB 9000i 2.0i kat. '90 manual, no turbo.
I spent a whole day to change the air temp flap - the one installed in ACC blower motor part, which allows more or less hot air to come to the interior of the car. You know - awfull work to do. Anyway I did what I had to do, when I put back everything together, there were only two things left to install - firewall and "aquarium" cover. Then I started the engine, let it heat, tested the ACC - everything fine. So I stopped the engine, put the firewall and cover back in place. After that I wanted to do another test, but the engine didn't start. Starter works, but engine doesn't. What could I have broken when installing firewall and cover? There are just few screws to screw in! What I noticed when trying to start the engine, that there was no fuel delivered - the fuel pump wasn't energized, but it's not failed - I tested it giving it 12V directly.
I have no clue what to do! The BOSH Jetronic module is energized, all electrical connectors look fine.
Tell me how to test it, and how to find the failure? How does the BOSH ECU work? What are the crucial elements for it to let the engine start? I suspect there is no spark either. I removed one spark-plug, put it on the metal part of engine (to ground it) and I tried to start the engine - and no spark. But I'm not sure it is correct to test it that way.
Please, any thoughts, comments, feelings
Thanks
Mariusz Kram
