I of course don't know what model Saab you drive, but on my 92 9KT the wheel sensors connect to the ABS ecu only. The information then passes to the ASR ecu and then to the ETS ecu. I had an intermittant problem which was very difficult to diagnose and it was a corroded connection within the positive battery cable. Occasionally power was lost. The radio would code (because I need a new backup battery) and cruise control would be lost. Cleaning the wheel sensor connectors int the acquarium would be an easy and obvious thing to try though.
