... only because the originals were allowing a large amount of play (1/4"). I wouldn't have gone to the trouble (steering rack out) just for the sake of replacing them. Have someone move the steering from side to side with the engine running while you watch the rack.
Other than that, I did the control arm and rear anti-roll bar as you are considering and found the control arm bushes were noticeably better than the almost-new rubber bushes I replaced and the lack of understeer after replacing the rear anti-roll bar bushes was amazing.
Don't forget that Abbott Racing recommends setting the wheel alignment to 1mm toe-in rather than the standard 1.5mm toe-in if you have poly control arm bushes.
