One of my friends (who is a mechanic) swapped out an automatic for a manual, and it was about a weekend worth of work (maybe 16 hrs), but I doubt it would be worth going the other way, especially with an Aero... the 225 hp would probably fry an autobox quickly, and I'd expect the conversion to be expensive... (a good used autobox won't be cheap...) I'm inclined to agree with Stitches and recommend a separate car for cummuting, but if you think you will have very limited use for a second car, you might be better off buying an automatic to start with, because your Aero is probably quite valuable, or you could try finding somebody out here who has an automatic Aero and wants a stick, and is willing to do a swap. I would look into that as a first option.
