Rachel,
I have cross-drilled Brembo rotors from KVR Performance (http://www.kvrperformance.com/) with Axxis Metalmasters in front, and Balo standard rotors from Import Parts Specialists (http://www.importpartsspec.com) with Metalmasters in the rear.
After a year, even though I know the fronts are doing most of the braking work, my Brembos are already grooved, warped, and nasty, and the Balos are doing great. Balo brake rotors are considered the best quality money can buy in the BMW world, and my experience leads me to believe their Saab rotors are just as good. I don't know about Zimmerman rotors personally.
So, if I were to do it again (and I'm about to because of the aforementioned horrible Brembos), I'd order non-drilled standard Balo rotors from Import Parts Specialists. They're about $50 apiece. I'd probably get Axxis (PBR) Deluxe pads instead of Metalmasters. I don't do that much high-spirited driving, and although the Metalmasters will stop you like a dropped anchor when they're hot, they have to be at least warmed up to stop well at all. The Deluxes stop well right away, even when cold, which is more important for street driving. EBC Greenstuff pads are another option, but they're pricey.
Hope this helps. Email me with any questions!
John
