I've had that problem with several old cars that sit for months-years. The clutch rusts slightly to the flywheel, so that even though the pedal and all is working, the trans acts like the clutch is fully engaged. A simple fix is to jack the front end up, both wheels is best, and securely support so that the driveshafts are not angled too much. Start the engine with 5th gear engaged. The wheels will be turning, so be careful! Speed up to about 50 mph, push the clutch pedal down and jam on the brakes while the wheels are still turning. You are trying to use the inertia of the wheels to break the clutch loose. If the engine stalls, the clutch is still rusted together. Do it a few more times. If this doesn't work, something deeper is wrong. Good luck.
