Ignition Timing Posted by Pete [Email] (#2000) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Pete) on Mon, 22 Oct 2001 02:54:15 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Have a question about Ignition Timing.
As known that the function of APC for Trionic car is to prevent the engine far from knocking by adjust Ignition Timing , increase fuel derivery rate , and then , reduce max. boost , consequently.
But for the measures , what is the device or sensor that feeds the APC known the knock when it's happening.
I once read in this board and known that it is the function of DI cassette but still don't know how it works. And are there any relation to the other devices such as MAP sensor or O2 sensor to detect knock ?
Another question , Does it must be knocking in engine when the APC reduce ignition timing ? Are there any other cause that make the APC reduce timing ?
Very appreciate for all reply//
Thank you.
