Stock max boost on that car (same as mine) is only 11 psi. The line between the yellow and red on the boost gauge is 12 psi. I tried some self APC tweaking on mine, and still never got to that line, much less in the red, even on the coldest days.
To get into the red, you'll want more fuel - 2.8 or 3.0 bar fuel pressure regulator for modest boost additions. It also really helps to get a genuine modified APC, though there are places on the web that tell you how to get close if you don't mind doing some soldering.
How many miles on your car? After I started adding more boost to mine, the engine decided to develop a rod knock - or, it just became quickly more noticeable with the extra boost. This was at 256k miles though, and the engine had never been opened, nor had it run synthetic oil. Just a warning... I've got a bunch of other mods that aren't necessarily performance related, at least not engine performance, and those are generally pretty beningn, depending on your tastes.. :)
