OK the engine turns over but doesn't catch. Is it spinning slowly or quickly? If it's spinning slowly, it could be as simple as a tired battery or bad battery connections.
If the engine is spinning quickly - does it happen when the engine is cold or warm, or both? If it's getting gas but not spark, or spark but not gas, the engine will sound the same - not running. So you need to narrow it down. If the engine doesn't catch, quickly pull out a spark plug and sniff it. Does it smell like gas? If so, then think spark.
Different years have different systems - do you have a DI or conventional ignition? Conventional ignition has a distributor cap, DI doesn't. If you have a distributor, make sure the timing is correct, and that the cap and rotor are in good shape.
Just a few questions to start - we'll go from there.
Good luck!
