Don't mess with the fusebox! (Especially #7!)

I want to post this in the hope that I can prevent anyone else from wasting their time like I did. I have a '94 9k Aero and I noticed that one of my headlight wipers was non-functional and the other was "marginally" functional. So I says to myself: "Rather than troubleshoot and/or replace the wiper motors, why not just disconnect the fuse and I won't have to worry about it?" To make a long, sordid PITA tale (fairly) short... I never would have guessed fuse 7, clearly marked Headlight Wipers, was related to other electrical functions i.e. my freakin' horn (which worked for a while *after* I pulled the fuse) and my driver's back door lock actuator (which ceased working sometime after I pulled the fuse and is now working again- this may or may not be related). I admit, I don't know much about electrical systems, but I have certainly learned a lesson here. I guess it makes sense that the hundereds or thousands of electrical connections in the system are mapped to the dozens of fuses, whether they're marked or not... DOH
The info originally posted by LU that lit the lightbulb above my head: "Both fed from one supply wire from relay in glove box relay pack. Fuse 21 is for horn supply thru relay, fuse 7 is supply to horn buttons which give ground to circuit operating relay. Pull out relay you will have power on two of the four connectors. Power goes out to a split to each horn. One of them probably gave up and you haven't noticed it. The other may have just died and now you don't have any function."
