The part in question is most likely the oil filter adapter. It is an aluminum flange that the oil filter appears to screw onto, and there are two high pressure looking hoses coming off of it and running up to the oil cooler.
There are two or three leak possibilities here. Most likely is the O-ring between the aluminum adaptor and the block. I got mine for $8 at a supplier in Denver. Probably got robbed. I agree with Ari that a big chain store might be able to come up with it cheaper. Procedure: 1) remove the oil filter, 2) gently remove the cooler lines 3) remove the hollow bolt that accepts the oil filter (26 or 27 mm socket, deep). O-ring is behind there. Reassemble, making sure *not* to over tighten cooler lines. I BROKE the flange and had to get a new one.
Sometimes the lines leak where they enter the flange. Only solution I think works is to back out the lines and add some teflon tape to the threads, then replace. See last sentence in paragraph above.
Finally, the lines can leak where they go from hard to soft. I had mine rebuilt for less than $20 each.
Good luck!
