New to this board, been over on the ng900 one for a while, but the wife has finally persuaded me to let her have my 96 xs 2.0n/a auto loved it - time to move on, heres the bedtime story:
had a 96 cse 2,0 lpt which finally gave up the ghost at 196k last year,I have been searching for a clean example 9k late model with a budget of around £7000 a few about but autos seem scarce, when today stumbled across a 92 2.3 cse full turbo in a main dealer for £3000 well priced considering it has the most impeccable service history you ever did see, its been serviced every 5-6 thousand miles since new and has every bill, receipt and stamp to prove it. and [proper]wood everywhere. up on miles at 130k but what the hell, i'll keep 4 grand in the bank and risk it methinks. So: heres the question:
having had a 96 version the car appears almost identical to the one i had previously, were there and major changes (improvements) made between the years? and were the early models any less reliable?
cheers, sorry if i've asked the normal new-kid-in-town dumb questions but i am rather hoping you chaps are as helpful as those wonderful friends i have made on "the other side" (now theres tongue in cheek)
johnc xx
