Any dexcool should be fine. The reason that merecedes benz coolant was recommended by townsend is a few years ago it was the only stuff that was silicate and phosphate free. Their experience has shown them that these two addatives were helping to contribute to head gasket failures in otherwise healthy cars.
As long as the dexcool is silicate and phosphate free then it will perform the same function as the mercedes benz coolant. Just remember that ever though it is extended drain you will still want to flush every year or two. As Quasi always says, fluid is cheap, repairs aren't. I switched my car over to havaline dexcool after 200k and haven't had one problem related to gaskets and seals in my cooling system.
