Hello all,
If you've been following my travails, you know that I am having serious starting and running issues on my car. It starts very rough (start, stall, 30-40 seconds of cranking, start). Once it starts, it idles fine, but seriously hesitates at 1500-2200 RPM, especially when I try to accelerate at more than a snail's pace. If i accelerate veerrrry slowly, it goes OK.
The part that makes me suspect the ECU: After I changed the fuel filter and AMM, the battery had been disconnected for about 45 minutes. When I started it, it ran GREAT! I went to the gas station and filled up, then the parts store to return some stuff. It ran like a champ. I was elated! I came out of the store to go home and it did it's hard start routine again, and hesitated all the way home.
QUESTIONS: Why would it run so well after the ECU memory had re-set to default and then start running crappy again (as ECU adjusts) unless there was something wrong with the ECU? Can I get a used ECU?
I have:
changed fuel filter
thoroughly cleaned AIC and throttle housing
replaced one AIC vacumn line
installed remanned AMM
checked all vacumn lines with vacumn pump
checked charcoal cannister system
checked fuel pump
checked FPR for vacumn
O2 sensor is 3 months old as is fuel pump
I'm running out of options
