APC, and heater core.

Guys, my car is stuttering badly. when i accelerate the APC boost gauge will rise as usual, but when it gets no more than about two millimeters into the yellow, it starts to stutter badly and I can't get any power. I think it is either knocking or fuel cutting out because of the APC however I'm not exactly sure how these systems work. If it is knocking I would assume that my turbo is overpressuring. but again I don't know how to diagnose anything. the car is an '86 9000 turbo 5-dr. and sadly it only has 100,000 miles and a whole laundry list of issues. Any advice would be great. The car itself is running only because of the help of others on here. thanks guys. Levi

And if anybody has had to change out the heater core, I'd like to know where I could get the best prices on a new one.
