Been there, done that. It could be either one. Pray it's the master cuz the slave is EXPENSIVE requiring tranny removal at which point you should do a complete clutch and slave job ($800-$1100 at a shop). Look at the bottom of the bell housing and see if it's wet. If it's dripping it's likely the slave. The master is pretty cheap and easy to replace. Some folks rebuild them. If you do your own work search under "bleed" to get going on the master. You might want to bleed it til you figure out where the problem is. Good luck.
