I've just encountered limp home mode in my 1991 2.3 Carlsson, welcome me to the fold!! The TCS light came on and , wow, this is what I've read about. Anyhow I was on my way to Abbott Racing to get my boost turned up since they fitted a MBC valve. The Tech 2 showed 4 faults, most relating to a faulty throttle body. I was told that these cars had a recall on this item as they were very troublesome when the car first came out. As it turned out my car hasn't had the recall work done, the plate on the inner wing not having been stamped. This was the first one they had everseen with an original throttle body on.
Now, I'm curious as to the legal implications here regarding recall work. If the recall hadn't been carried out on my car for whatever reason and it fell through the net can I ask Saab to honour the recall notice and replace the throttle body?
p.s.The faults were reset and my boost is back to around 1 bar now and the car flys again....but for how long???
