Depending on if you have lowered the car or not I think a 20mm offset would be ok. If the car is lowered there could be problems in the front. I have 17x7 wheels with a 30mm offset on 215/45/17 tires. My car is '96 Aero and I have B&G springs. I've put 15mm spacers in the rear to bring the rear wheels in line with the front. I had to trim the plastic on the wheel well back to the metal fender but no rubbing. I just bought some 18x7.5 wheels with a 35mm. These new wheels will only stick out 1.25mm more than the 17x7. I'm still going to use the spacers in the rear and 215/40/18 tires.
