Hi,
My ACC is acting up. It all started when I was sitting on top of a mountain idling laying out in the back watching the stars. I had it set to HI and all of a sudden it started blowing cold air!!! and when I looked at the outside air temp sensor readout, it said 114 degrees. Well, it sure as hell wasn't 114 outside, more like 40...anyways...when I started driving it all went back to normal and I did a calibration/self-test to see what was up. No faults, everything seemed fine...then 2 days ago I was back up on the mountain, and it started doing it again. Totally perplexed as to how it was blowing cold air I got out of the car and realized the AC compressor was running..I unplugged it and the car eventually warmed back up. The outside temp didn't get as high this time, but it still went higher then it was cold outside. Anyways....now the problem is when I did the self-test I have 1 fault. Since I have the ACC II system it won't tell me what the fault it....anyone know where I can start??? Probably something to do with the temp sensor 'cause it's kicking the compressor on...the only way I can get heat in the car now is to turn it on HI (82 and < blows cold air), but that gets kinda hot after a few mins....
please help,
thanks,
Joseph
