I've been busy with my '93 SAAB lately after years of just enjoying it so lots of posts.

I just got a quote for a 93 CS 2.3 engine with 66K on it from The Parts Locator as follows:

$875 with 66k miles

I figured all along that when my 93 engine went down I'd do like I used to do in my youngin' days of 71 Pontiacs and 67 Chevies and just pick up a decent used engine and swap it in. I'll probably pony up for the rent-a-hoist instead of use the come-along and tree (or beefed up garage stud accessed through hole punched in garage ceiling sheetrock).

$875 for a motor if it really has 66K on it sounds pretty good. Anyone else around here swapping used motors into these cars?
