From your previous post, I think I see what you're getting at. I haven't heard of this being done, so I think you'll have to start mining for information yourself. I'll tell you what I know and how I would go about it to see if that gives you any pointers. I don't have a 9-5 and know very little (next to nothing) about its braking system.
I'm assuming you have somehow determined that 9-5 brakes will provide some worthwhile advantage over 9000 brakes and that if you could get them from a scrap car it would be a cheap upgrade.
First thing, do you have ABS (about mid-'87 on)? If so, then you have ATE FN 57 calipers on the front (otherwise, Girling Colette 54)). Find someone on the 9-5 board who knows about brakes and see whether the 9-5 uses ATE on the front and whether they know the type number (my information came from the Haynes 9000 manual). Of course, 9-5s may vary in their brake specifications, I don't know.
If you can get the above information, perhaps you can approach ATE or a brake specialist or dealer to get the answer you need.
Even if the 9-5 caliper is not from the same manufacturer, it isn't the end of the world, but it may help.
Measure the distance between centres of the caliper carrier mounting bolts (the two 19mm bolts) on your 9K. Ask whether this is the same on the 9-5. If not, forget it or shift your attention to whether a complete 9-5 hub assembly will fit on a 9000.
The 9000 front disc is 278mm in diameter. As you say, this may not matter, but at least you have something to compare.
It may well be worth asking questions on the Performance board, as well as here and on the 9-5 board.
Hope this set of disconnected ramblings was of some help.
