I have a few questions regarding my recently purchase 9000t. I bought the car because it was in mint condition w/ only 104k on the clock. I have always liked the look of the 9000. I previously owned a 84 9000 and a 99 although I forget what year it was. Anyway, my present car is an automatic. Thankfully the tranny shifts better than any other auto I've ever driven. My question is regarding its performance. When I try to accelerate, the car sputters until I ease up on the throttle. I changed the plugs, cap and rotor and air filter. I will be installing new wires this weekend. Someone told me to test the apc solenoid. So I disconnected the hose leading to the wastgate and felt no difference at all. What else can be causing this. I've checked all the hoses and the appear to be fine! Other than this the car drives fine. The only other problem and it's a big one is that I DONT HAVE ANY HEAT!!! I read somewhere that the fix for this is extrodinarily expsensive. Is this true. I don't really smell anything wierd when I attempt to put the heat on. So that test was inconclusive. Please help, I bought this car for a song and it really is a great ride but I'm sure my driving experience will increase immeasurably if I'm able to rememdy these two problems. Last but not least can anyone recommend a good independant Saab mechanic in NYC. I've tried calling Swedish Saab in Brooklyn, but no one ever answers and he has not returned my calls.
