as my current front speakers, and they seem to handle it very well. The key was to eliminate ALL the MID and LOW bass (20-100hz) from the front using a separate equalizer. Leave the upper bass so that they blend with the rears/sub. Also, there seems to be a nasty peak in the frequency response around 1000hz which made a HUGE difference in the sound when I equalized it down about -10 to -12db. You also get more clarity when you attenuate all the speakers -4db at 200hz.
