Just put one in my 93 CSE yesterday! So happy now!
You will notice on the cup/coin holder holes (2-one above the other) on both the right and left side. I was told by a ford guy that you can take a metal coat hanger cut it to 8 inches long and make a U out of it and shove both tips on the holes to pop it out.

THAT DID NOT WORK FOR ME!! So what I did was open the taurus glove box. Once open you see the only thing stopping it from flopping out is two rubber knubs. Bend the glovebox sides to move the knubs past it's stoppers. Now you can reach you hand in the right side. Push in the spring loaded keeper on the right side of the holder assy(it holds the cup holder in th dash) and the right side slips out. Now just fiddle with the left side. I used a pocket screwdriver to push in the left side springy keeper. There is a little gap to insert the screwdriver in right above the cup holder but below the radioon the left side. Once you get that side loose pull it out of the dash. Before it is all the way out it will catch on a plastic guide on the bottom. just tilt the assembly down and fiddle with it and it will come out. Don't worry about removing that peice when installing in your car. Just insert tilted down, straighten and slide in. It will pop in place like it was made by SAAB!
All saab din fittings pop out. So does the ACC. Just remove ash tray. stick hand in and pop out ACC. Then pop out any other pieces you want to swap around.
I went with
ACC on top (like I had a choice!)
Radio Below (so I didn't block the controls with the cup holder)
Cup coin holder
cig lighter/ashtray on bottom (got to charge that cell!)
A very one wrench job!
Any trouble installing any of those be sure to remove felt strip on left (din slot guide).
Any more Q's just ask
