Got too much time on your hand and nothing to do or are you itching to use the new set of wrenches just acquired? Just kidding...
You won't find debris in the oil pan. There is gunk you can't remove which is better off left undisturbed. Any metal shaving in the oil will settle to the low point, which will be caught by the magnetic drain plug.
The front exhaust pipe has bellows at one end. It could get damaged easily during removal (around $100, parts only). In addition the nuts on the flange of the cat are likely rusted. Be ready to replace the cat too if you are not careful (another $100, parts only). You probably have to saw off the studs on the flange of the cat to remove it.
Unless you absolutely have to, like oil is seeping out between the block and the pan or something, don't do it.
