I've done this: converted a '92 auto with a '94 engine/transaxle 5sp.
The hardest part was the removal of the pedal assembly! Besides the
4 bolts that secure it to the back of the brake master cylinder, theres
a bolt that secures it to the top part - just below the instrument panel.
It's very difficult to get at, but can, eventually be done. Noah is
right about the different drive shaft, but I can't remember if it was
on the drivers' or passengers' side. Of course, you already know about
the difference between the intermediate shaft and bearing support bracket -
you're not alone in making that mistake! I also changed the ABS module
in my '92 - I wasn't certain that the automatics were the same as the
standard, so I swapped it out. The Trionic shouldn't matter....good luck
if you decide to go ahead - it's not that bad.
