I lost the low speed on my 2 speed fan. My trusted Saab mech pointed me to the wiring harnes that runs through a tube under the radiator. Water runs down the wiring where the pigtail from the thermo switch plugs into the harness. The water then enters the wire itself at the exposed point where the connector is crimped, travels inside the wire and corrodes it. Sure enough the wire was bulging along its entire length. When I removed it and split it open was just dust inside. It's a pain in the #ss to get at the bundle, especially if you don't have a lift. My mech said they (the dealer) gets about 2 -3 hours labor to do the repair.
