crap, they aren't even close! Posted by DougM [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: I also ordered a pair of Powerflex PFF66-410, DougM ![]() ![]() |
Way too big to work on this 99, but maybe the later years?(they look like they will work on my '88 convertible) My old 74 parts look to be the same as the 73's, so I burned the bushing out of one of the bearings to take some measurements. Brian at Powerflex said they might be able to find a set of generic bushings that would work(with some slight modification on my part) if I get him the measurements.
Good thing I'm in no hurry to drive this car.
Yesterday I installed the axle, panhard rod, torque rods, backing plates, hubs, rotors, brake lines, and calipers, then bled the brakes. Seems I have an issue with the RR hose not moving fluid, even though it seems I got all of the air out(nice hard brake pedal). Seems the hose is check-valving on me, which could explain why I wore out a new set of pads in a few thousand miles. Time to source some stainless hoses me thinks. Hmmm, I'm not sure if the early ones are standard threads or metric.
